Aerospace Cable Assemblies and Wire Harnesses

Aerospace cable solutions must fit the electrical, mechanical and environmental requirements of the aircraft equipment they connect. Work with Radbon engineers on a custom harness or supply approved drawings, with Spartan coordinating sales and support across North and South America.

Aviation engine, pylon and control-system harnesses

The aviation engine harness shown above is a Radbon product example with branching leads and circular connectors. Radbon’s published aviation experience also includes pylon cables, fuselage interconnections and control-unit cables.

Whether the assembly carries power, sensor signals or equipment communications, define its electrical interfaces alongside the routing envelope. Connector orientation, branch lengths and installation access need to work within the complete system.

  • Engine and pylon cable assemblies
  • Fuselage interconnections
  • Control-unit and sensor harnesses
  • Unmanned aircraft equipment wiring

High-performance aerospace cabling starts with the design brief

Weight, thermal exposure and vibration influence the construction of an aircraft harness. Radbon’s capabilities include lightweight materials, fiberglass heat protection, complex branching, customized braiding and anti-EMI protection. Select the construction for the actual operating conditions rather than assuming every material suits every aircraft location.

Wire and cable families in Radbon’s published capabilities include M22759, M81044, M27500 and M17. Specify the exact part, revision and project requirements, or ask our engineers to review options with your team.

  • Operating and storage temperatures and heat sources
  • Weight targets, bend radius and installation space
  • Connector interfaces, locking and strain relief
  • Shielding and grounding requirements
  • Wire identification and maintenance access

Aircraft workmanship, traceability and acceptance

Radbon holds AS9100D and IPC/WHMA-A-620 QML Class 3 qualification. Specify the applicable workmanship class and acceptance requirements for your assembly; Spartan provides regional support and does not hold these manufacturing certifications.

Include required material records, drawing revisions, electrical tests and qualification evidence with your RFQ. Quality system certification supports controlled manufacturing processes; product qualification and installation acceptance are reviewed for your program.

Prototype fit before production release

A prototype can help your engineering team review connector access, routing and branch lengths. Radbon can collaborate on the design or manufacture from a released drawing package, with no minimum order quantity.

Send the installation constraints, quantities, schedule and test scope early so engineering, materials and inspection can be reviewed together. Existing harness manufacturers can request subcontract support for specialized assemblies or additional production needs.
