Naval engine harnesses and equipment interconnects
Radbon’s naval engine assembly shown above is a product example with braided outer protection and branching leads. Your design can be developed around the electrical interfaces, mounting points and service access of the complete equipment.
Marine assemblies can connect power, control and communication equipment. Send a wire list or drawing package identifying the circuits, connector interfaces and cable routes; our engineering team can also work from initial system requirements.
- Engine and control equipment harnesses
- Power, control and signal interconnections
- Communication equipment and enclosure wiring
Design for corrosion, fluids and vibration
A shipboard installation needs more than a general description of a rugged cable. Identify the location of the assembly, the fluids it may contact and the mechanical loads at its mounting points. These inputs guide wire and jacket selection, connector sealing, strain relief and protective braiding.
For marine defence equipment, define shielding and grounding at the system level alongside environmental protection. Review how the harness will be installed, inspected and replaced in the available space.
- Saltwater, oils and chemical exposure
- Operating and storage temperatures
- Required ingress protection and sealing interfaces
- Vibration, movement and strain relief
- EMI shielding, grounding and identification
Cable selection and project requirements
Radbon’s published capabilities include naval and offshore power, control and signalling cable options, with oil and chemical resistance and different insulation and jacket materials. Availability and suitability must be confirmed for the selected cable.
Include the applicable cable specifications, vessel or equipment approval requirements and required test records with your inquiry. A cable component approval does not automatically qualify the completed harness or the vessel system.
Inspection and verification for your assembly
Radbon provides electrical and environmental testing capabilities, material traceability and stored test data. Specify continuity, insulation and dielectric test requirements, together with any salt spray, ingress or mechanical testing needed for the assembly.
Agree on test conditions, acceptance criteria and delivered records before production. Radbon holds the manufacturing certifications; Spartan coordinates sales and support.
From a prototype to recurring vessel equipment production
There is no minimum order quantity. Start with a prototype to review connector access, branch lengths and routing, then release the approved drawing revision for production.
For a quotation, share the application, drawing or wire list, quantities, schedule, environmental conditions and documentation requirements. Existing cable and harness manufacturers can also request subcontract production support.
Frequently asked questions
Can you manufacture a custom naval engine harness?
Yes. Radbon can manufacture to an approved drawing or collaborate with your engineers on a design. Share the interfaces, routing and operating conditions for review.
Are all marine cable assemblies waterproof?
Sealing and ingress protection depend on the selected connectors, construction and installation. Specify the required rating and test conditions so suitability can be reviewed for your project.
Can you support marine defence programs?
Share the technical requirements, manufacturing-origin restrictions and required approvals with the RFQ. Radbon manufactures in Taiwan; program suitability and the qualification scope are reviewed before an order is accepted.
What should I send for a marine cable assembly quote?
Send drawings or initial requirements, a wire list if available, connector details, quantities, schedule and the required inspection and test records.
